D.B. Sound and Lighting Inc was formed in 1989 by Daniel Balmer Sr. in Elkhart, Indiana after much experience and growing up working in the music and live entertainment fields. Dan worked for other companies first in musical instrument sales, later in the manufacture of professional amplifier products, moving on to regional sound company and theater work, and finally establishing his own business in the live sound and lighting fields.His background from a young age allowed him to get to know musicians, artists, and audio technicians, learn their needs, and figure out how to efficiently serve all their requirements with the best quality service and equipment.

     Later he took his live performance experience and applied it into the permanent installation market, providing churches, houses of worship, and commercial customers with the finest products installed at a a reasonable cost to them, based on their individual needs, not cookie cutter principals like some other companies. He also provides after the sale instruction and maintenance to the customers that want to stay on top of technology with the latest equipment and training.

     Today , Dan and his staff help maintain and design A/V systems for all types of needs from live concert and festival rentals, to background music systems in mall stores, and live music and speech in churches.
